AGOS: A Game of Space is Ubisoft’s Next VR Adventure
Today was the Ubisoft Forward digital event with the company announcing lots of new titles which nicely included virtual reality (VR). As part of the lineup, next month will see Ubisoft launch an interstellar adventure called AGOS: A Game of Space for PC VR headsets.

Once again mankind has managed to doom Earth and make it unlivable, so it’s time to take to the stars, head to a distant habitable planet and try not to get killed among the stars. The year is 2057 and humanity is now split across hundreds of spaceships putting their faith in AI to guide them to this new home and rebuild.
You take on the role of the AI controlling the last ship to leave Earth, heading out on a journey which will take centuries. There’s just one little problem, “No one has heard back from those who left before you,” explains the synopsis.
Ubisoft has said AGOS: A Game of Space features physics-based gameplay, where you’ll have to build and pilot probes to scavenge for resources. You’ll have to explore space to find the materials needed to unlock new technologies and maintain life onboard to ensure your cargo stay safe and well.

There will be eight star systems to navigate, filled with space stations to explore, asteroids to mine and other space ships to trade with. With some rather epic looking imagery in the trailer, AGOS: A Game of Space looks set to be a premium VR title for the holiday period. Ubisoft wants to ensure the videogame is a motion sickness–free experience, providing both in cockpit and outside viewpoints.
AGOS: A Game of Space is scheduled to launch for Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Vive Cosmos, Valve Index and Windows Mixed Reality on 28th October 2020. For further updates on the latest VR titles from Ubisoft, keep reading VRFocus.
