AR provider Sixense looks to robotics with Sisu partnership
Immersive computing solutions provider, Sixense Enterprises, and Sisu, a developer of intuitive robot systems, have announced the former’s STEM technology will be deployed in the latter’s VUDU system for industrial robot programming.
The advanced motion tracking technology from Sixense has enabled Sisu to launch its most intuitive system yet, that helped in mitigating programming time from days or hours to just minutes. The motion tracking solution seamlessly synchronises with the VUDU system and provides highly accurate tracking data to enable perfect control for programming industrial robots and machinery. Sixense’s technology is different from many industrial motion tracking solutions, as it is not subject to ambient light interference and occlusion. This provides a more seamless control experience in industrial environments where light levels and physical location are not good.
The service robotics market is predicted to reach more than $23.90 billion at a CAGR of 15.18% by 2022. Service robots are globally accepted due to its different professional and personal applications owing to benefits and advantages, for instance, improved ease of use, conveyance of exact and fantastic administrations, unwavering quality, and lessened operational expenses and human mistakes. Proficient administration robots are utilised including defence, healthcare and security, forestry, agriculture, construction, logistics, and professional cleaning. On the other hand, individual administration robots are utilised for household and entertainment purpose. There has been a drastic growth in adoption of service robotics because of high labour and work cost, absence of talented and skilled workforce, expanded interests in R&D, and increased demand for automation among professional and individual sectors.
