Digi-Capital launches VR and AR analytics platform for startups, execs and VCs
Digi-Capital, an augmented and virtual reality consulting firm, has announced the launch of a new analytics platform which will serve as a dashboard for startups, corporates and venture capitalists (VCs).
The platform aims to provide encyclopaedic information in AR/VR/XR, with more than 500,000 data points across hardware, software, platforms, products/services, business models, categories and countries. It also covers leading AR/VR/XR startups, founders, corporates, VCs, valuations, deal flows and relationships by category, investment stage, deal size, country and region.
“Data/analytics to support the industry have largely come from industry reports so far (including our own), but tools equivalent to Bloomberg, AppAnnie or Pitchbook hadn’t emerged… so we made Digi-Capital’s Analytics Platform for AR/VR/XR professionals to answer question in minutes that would take them weeks, without the cost of doing it themselves,” said Tim Merel, managing director of Digi-Capital.
“Customers told us that they need quick answers to granular questions that would otherwise take them weeks — if they could answer them at all,” Merel added. “As many startups don’t have the resources for this sort of analysis, they also didn’t want the cost of doing it themselves. This was seen before now as a major pain point for the industry.”
Merel noted that these customers were using the platform for country rollout and sales plans, product/service roadmaps, VC pitches, company/deal valuations and more, as well as using it to develop strategy with boards and investors.
