Dreamscape Immersive details their first permanent VR centre

US entertainment and tech start-up Dreamscape Immersive is doubling-down its efforts to develop location-based VR, where the company sees a lot of potential for the technology.
The firm is trying to explore various options as more and more people get excited about VR’s potential. Though location-based VR is said to be a popular industry, it all depends on how things will transform and progress in the coming months and years to come.
Dreamscape Immersive has now opened its first permanent location inside a shopping mall in Los Angeles. The facility offers visitors a new experience by combining a movie theatre and a theme park in an innovative style.
Customers will need to shell out $20 per entry after which they are provided with their own backpack, a VR headset, and sensors to experience the immersive storylines offered by the company. The duration of this immersive experience lasts for about 20-25 minutes.
Dreamscape Immersive CEO Bruce Vaughn said:
“We believe that location-based VR is the tip of the spear as it were for the entire VR industry. It will get people exposed to how unique this medium can be and also those of us who create it, we are learning the capability as well.
It’s the first time that the technology has come together, not just the backpacks the headsets and the tracking, but even the physical optics in a way that we can really learn the vocabulary of this new medium.”
Despite the novel tech experience, it is unsure whether the business will be successful as the location-based VR-industry still continues to face challenges.
