Enjoy On-Demand VR Theatre With the new LIVR app
There are a range of virtual reality (VR) apps covering all sorts of entertainment. From Oculus Venues with content from SXSW 2019, NextVR with an abundance of sports, or how about TheWaveVR showcasing events from musical artists. There’s something for everyone, and now theatre lovers can get in on the immersive action with the launch of LIVR.
Arriving for iOS and Android devices first, LIVR specialises in providing an immersive platform for theatre and the performing arts. Just as with any experience of this type, viewers are transported into the audience to view a mixture of live performances, with over 100 productions already captured. Eight new shows will be released every month, from new works by emerging artists to critically acclaimed productions, LIVR aims to cover all tastes.
If you’re interested all you need to do is sign-up for free at the official website – to keep up with the latest news and show releases – then download the app from Google Play or Apple’s AppStore. To access the content there is a monthly subscription of £5.99 GBP, with LIVR subscribers receiving a credit each month to unlock a show of their choice, plus LIVR will even send you a free headset to watch content in VR. The company also offers the chance to purchase 6 or 12 month Gift Codes for someone as a present.
That’s only the start, as LIVR has plans to support Oculus Go initially, followed by Google Daydream, HTC Vive, PlayStation VR and more in the near future.
