Fans Get A VR Tour Of LA Stadium Ahead Of Super Bowl LIII
Fans get a closer look at the future home of the Los Angeles Rams.
This Sunday the Los Angeles Rams take on the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LIII at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Next year however, construction will begin on LA Stadium, a state-of-the-art venue located in Inglewood that will serve as the future home of the Rams in roughly a year-and-a-half. Until then, the team has been offering attendees of the Super Bowl Fan Expo the opportunity to take a closer look at the most expensive NFL stadium ever built without taxpayer money.
In a video posted by CBS Los Angeles, we see Rams COO Kevin Demoff guiding a reporter through the VR tour of the jaw dropping venue using an Oculus Rift headset with Touch controllers (photos also show an HTC Vive being used). Built in Unity, the VR experience gives fans an in depth look that the stadiums various luxury accomodations, from the beachside view provided by the Champions Plaza level, to the exclusive Club level suites located right on the sideline.

With an overall footprint estimated to be three times that of Disneyland and a total capacity of about 70,000 attendees, LA Stadium is poised to be the most advanced stadium in NFL history. Other incredible additions to the glass-enclosed venue include a 25 acre park, concert hall, shopping center, luxury hotel, office buildings, and condos.
United Way, Futurus, and Georgia University also teamed up to provide their own Unity-built experience during the Fan Expo. Call To Play uses VR technology to help kids deal with bullying by immersing them in realistic confrontations where they’re forced to make difficult decisions when a friend is harassed by a group of bullies.
Super Bowl LIII takes place tomorrow 3:30pm PST. No word yet on whether or not the VR tour or Call to Play will be for download in the future.
