Half-Life: Alyx: VR Headset Specifications and PC Requirements

Half-Life: Alyx has higher minimum PC requirements. If your current PC doesn’t meet the minimum specifications for Alyx, then you might need to upgrade your PC to have a smooth playing experience.
The minimum PC requirements for Half-Life: Alyx are as follows:-

- RAM: 12GB
- CPU: Intel Core i5-7500/AMD Ryzen 5 1600
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB)/ AMD Radeon RX 580 (8GB)
Apart from the 12GB RAM requirement, some of the other requirements aren’t as demanding. The GTX 1060 and the RX 580 are catching on quickly so if you purchased your PC in the recent past, you should be OK as per the PC requirements otherwise you might have to upgrade some of the components.
Building Your PC for Half-Life: Alyx
If your PC does not meet the minimum requirements for Half-Life: Alyx, you can opt to build it up to the recommended specifications to get it Half-Life: Alyx ready if you do not wish to purchase a new one. Upgrading a PC doesn’t cost a fortune as the components needed to upgrade the PC aren’t too expensive.
