More VR Savings are Here With the Steam Lunar New Year Sale
Generally speaking, you’re never too far away from a Steam sale. The Winter Sale only ended on 2nd January and now it’s time for the annual Steam Lunar New Year sale. Once again it’s time to delve into the platform’s vast library and hopefully grab yourself a bargain, saving some cash on that one videogame you’ve been keeping an eye on.
As per usual, Steam’s sale isn’t just about discounted videogames. To help everyone celebrate the New Year in Steam style, you’ll be able to follow the origin story of the Zodiac each day by opening a new gift from the Emperor. Daily red envelopes feature Year of the Rat Tokens, which can be used toward seasonal items available exclusively in The Lunar New Year Night Market.
The Night Market has all sorts of seasonal goods to get your hands on, from animated Profile Backgrounds and Mini-Profile Backgrounds to Chat Room Effects, Chat Stickers, and more. Further savings can be had during the Lunar New Year Sale when you purchase the Lunar New Year Coupon, which can be used throughout the sale.
As for the VR savings on offer, there are plenty of new and older titles available with a range of discounts. SUPERHOT VR has 32% off, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR and Fallout 4 VR both have a very decent 70% off, while newly released Budget Cuts 2: Mission Insolvency has a 15% saving. Even Valve’s unreleased Half-Life: Alyx is in the sale, offering a 10% discount. Valve held a Reddit AMA for the videogame ahead of its March launch revealing a few more details.
