Prepare your arms for more vigorous swings as Beat Games has added six new songs which have been officially labelled as ‘Original Soundtrack Vol.3’ or OST3. The new track list includes the following hits:-
- “Full Charge” by PIXL
- “Origins” by Jaroslav Beck and Jan Ilavsky (ft. Mutrix)
- “Give a Little Love” by Pegboard Nerds
- “Reason for Living” by Morgan Page
- “Burning Sands” by Boom Kitty
- “Immortal” by Slippy
Jaroslav Beck recently stepped down as Beat Games CEO to focus on the music for the VR game.
Apart from the OST3 update, the new update also includes a new color customization system-the Custom Color Picker- that Beat Games had previously promised. This new customization option will enable users to pick their own colors for the two sabers, blocks, lighting and notes so you will no longer be restricted to the blue and the Jedi red.
Another minor customization is the new level environment override option. There is also a more precise swing angle detection, better lighting as well as corrections to the “WHAT THE CAT!?” beatmaps that Beat Games had added in the previous update. The new update also gets rid of a specific bug that had led to sporadic game corruption. There are also adjustments to the start positions as well as the speed of the Expert+ difficulty mode for a few of the tracks.
This year has seen Beat Games release the paid DLC pack which features 10 tracks from Imagine Dragons. The free update featured three songs from the dance/electronic musician Camellia along with an official PC-based level editor. For that update, Beat Games even teased 360-degree levels that would throw in the chaos by throwing multiple blocks at the player which come hurtling at you from multiple angles. However, Beat Games hasn’t revealed any details yet on when this exciting mode will be released on Beat Saber.
Beat Saber is available for $30 on various platforms including Oculus, PlayStation VR and SteamVR. The just released OST3 update is however freely available on all platforms starting today.
