Virtual Reality Games Releases for October 2019
The recently concluded Oculus Connect 6 and the PlayStation State of Play have revealed an exciting array of games to be released a few months down the line. Several games were unveiled during OC6 including the new WWII shooter Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond where you are sent as an agent behind the fascist line. PC VR owners will be treated to some exciting releases such as Borderlands 2 VR and Asgard’s Wrath. There aren’t too many releases yet but there is a great lineup to keep you busy for the rest of the year. Here is a list of the VR game releases arriving this month:-
Asgard’s Wrath

Asgard’s Wrath is one of the top virtual reality titles this year. The action-adventure is in the tradition of the PS4 hit God of War and casts the player as a Norse mythology warrior who fights as a mortal and rises into a god. The game includes a heavy dose of RPG elements.
Fine tune your swordplay and bring your unique fighting style into the game with next-level combat. The player can possess various classes of mortal heroes, turn animals into warrior companions that will lead them into battle and solve some larger-than-life puzzles.
Asgard’s Wrath offers players a massive game-world along with a high level of interactivity. The player can collect plants, pick up items, eat food and even control the animal companions. The player will also encounter various Norse deities such as Odin and Loki and go through multiple trials.
Beat Saber- Panic! At the Disco DLCs

Beat Saber has been a smash VR hit. With Panic!, you will get a new Music Pack in the Disco. The new songs on Panic! are available in their respective individual stores. You can also purchase a bundle on Steam.
Doors of Silence: The Prologue

The indie VR horror game is one of the most promising titles coming out this month. The prologue of the game will be released on Steam in October. The Doors of Silence has been available on Oculus Rift since September.
The plot revolves around the player exploring a medical center in Pennsylvania in 1988. Some of the kids suffering from the effects of the Chernobyl disaster have been brought to this hospital and the consequences for this make for a pretty scary horror experience.
You will be exploring this medical center where a number of disasters have occurred. You will use a UV flashlight to battle the nightmare disfigured and aggressive beings. There are also numerous puzzles that you must solve in order to survive.
Borderlands 2 VR

With Borderlands 2 VR, you can shoot and loot your way through Pandora’s iconic world like never before, aim and blast at bandits, fight psychos and bag lots of weapons and loot along the way. Become the treasure-hunting Vault Hunter armed with numerous guns in your quest to loot and line your pockets with treasure. Shoot the bandits with a real-world aiming mechanics or simply punch the psychos. You can also race across a vast desert in the stolen bandit vehicles to free Pandora from the clutches of Handsome Jack.
Borderlands 2 VR is one of the most popular shooter-looter games and plays perfectly on a monitor. The virtual reality has been available for quite some time for the PlayStation VR and it is now set to hit PC VR. The game also includes a special slow-motion function and teleport feature which support the virtual shoot-out.
Arizona Sunshine: The Damned

Genre: Action, Shooter
In the new Arizona Sunshine DLC, events take place before the events of the main story and the DLC Dead Man. You will be helping a team of US Special Forces to retake a hydroelectric dam and free it from zombies. Not everything will go according to plan and you will quickly find yourself on your own. The fear of heights will feature prominently in this DLC.
Concrete Genius

Genre: Adventure, Creative
Concrete Genius hasn’t been fully implemented in virtual reality. The PS4 version is about young Ash going through his home village of Denska, a small fishing town, and embellishing it with magical art.
There are at least two virtual reality modes. The ‘Experience Mode’ takes the player through an adventure with the jinn blob where the player’s artworks will provide them with special magical powers. When player has completed this mode, the ‘Free Painting Mode’ will be unblocked. There are four selected locations in Denska where you can create living landscapes using the PlayStation Move controllers.
The Exorcist: Legion VR Deluxe Edition

Exorcism is a popular theme in both horror games and horror movies. The Exorcist derives from both the novel and film template for the complete five-part horror series by Wolf & Wood (A Chair in A Room: Greenwater).
The player is cast a Boston Police Department detective who has to unravel a series of murders and strange events. The detective’s tools of trade include a crucifix, holy water as well as various other sacred items. This is a battle against demons and other spirit-possessed livestock. The Deluxe Edition of the Exorcist: Legion VR has all the five episodes.
Espire 1: VR Operative
Release: Fall 2019
Platform: Valve Index, Oculus Rift(S), Oculus Quest, PlayStation VR, HTC Vive (Pro)
Genre: Action, Sneak
The much-anticipated spy thriller features again in the review of this month’s releases. We don’t have a specific release date yet. As a future drone pilots, the player sits in a drone command post and undertakes various assignments to earn their strips. The player will control the “Espire Model 1” robot and guide it through various dangerous agent missions. They will climb, sneak in or silently switch off opponents or even stand in firefights. All of these form part of the requirements profile for a drone pilot.
The game provides players with full freedom of movement, detailed storytelling campaign, voice commands along with a large arsenal of weapons and tools. Espire 1: VR Operative will also be available for Oculus Quest.
