VR Furballs Adds a Christmas Party Mode
Gamily Studios debut virtual reality (VR) experience VR Furballs – Demolition left Early Access last month, and in preparation for the festive season, the studio has just released a Christmas update. The update adds a new Party Mode as well as some festive flair to proceedings.
The Party Mode has been designed as the perfect accompaniment to Christmas family gatherings, where up to eight people can compete in local multiplayer, across six mini-games.
An additional mode to the main Story Campaign, the Party Mode’s six mini-games take around eight minutes to complete, with players able to enter their initials to keep track of where they are on the leaderboard. The better you do in each mini-game the more stars you’ll be awarded at the end, with the player who attains the most being crowned winner.
The overall design of VR Furballs – Demolition is a cute, family friendly, casual videogame that takes its inspiration from titles like Angry Birds where you have a selection of super fluffy furballs with which to destroy structures which are harbouring some nasty looking red spiky creatures.
The main single-player campaign features 54 levels with nine playable Furballs with their special abilities to choose from, and six weapons plus six accessories to use on the Furballs. Weapons include a slingshot, tennis racket, and gun, while the accessories feature mushrooms, bullet time, drones and a radar.
Last month also saw Gamily Studios announce that the title will be ported to PlayStation VR and standalone headset Oculus Quest in 2019.
Currently, VR Furballs – Demolition is downloadable through Steam for £11.49 GBP, with a free demo also available to give you a taster. For any further updates, keep reading VRFocus.
