Win Steam Gift Cards in VR Furballs’ Level Creation Contest
Way before Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs was even mentioned, players interested in that type of gameplay could enjoy the delights of Gamily Studios’ VR Furball – Demolition. Now the studio has announced a new competition where players can employ their creative skills to build awesome levels, and in return can win Steam gift cards.
The Level Creation Contest is quite simple, players first need to unlock 60 stars in the core videogame to unlock the Level Editor. Then all they need to do is build a small sized level and send the file to mylevel@vrfurballs.com or share it on Discord.
Up for grabs are five Steam gift cards. First place will win €100 EUR, second place will win €50, with three third-place winners receiving €25. The competition starts today and you have until the end of August to enter. Levels created during the contest will become part of an additional bonus world in the PC version of VR Furballs – Demolition, and also used in the upcoming PlayStation VR version.
If you haven’t played VR Furballs – Demolition before on Steam there’s a free demo for you to try, supporting Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Windows Mixed Reality headsets. Should you wish to purchase it then Gamily Studios has permanently dropped the price by 20%, and from today until 8th June it’ll have a 50% discount.
Additionally, Gamily Studios has released an update with a new Arcade Mode which simplifies the gameplay. The mode puts the player directly in the Levels, with the Slingshot attached in their hand. Other features include Multiple Profiles in Story mode, menus are simpler and self-explanatory, quicker navigation between levels, plus the Slingshot automatically has a power bar displaying the current draw force. The updates have also been added to the demo version of VR Furballs – Demolition.
In VR Furballs – Demolition you have a selection of super fluffy furballs with which to destroy structures which are harbouring some nasty looking red spiky creatures. The developer has confirmed that alongside a PlayStation VR version the studio is working on an Oculus Quest instalment. VRFocus will continue its coverage of VR Furballs – Demolition, reporting back with the latest updates.
