Yupitergrad to Launch Open Sandbox Mode Dubbed Gymnasion
The swinging puzzler Yupitergrad’s Time Attack levels and campaign have a linear construction where you are trying not to die between point A and B. The developer Gamedust wants to mix the dynamic up a bit by adding a new gameplay mode known as Gymnasion that provides the player with a large sandbox that they can play in.
Gymnasion is now undergoing testing and drops the player into a massive space where they can practice the Spider-Man swinging skills that have been specially designed to do the crazy acrobatics. The mode does not feature any time limits or whirling wheels of death that suddenly stop you and it is thus regarded as relaxing. It includes various columns that you can latch on to.
Gamedust is yet to reveal when the new mode is set launch. However, if you already have Yupitergrad and want to test out Gymnasion, then you can do it. You can sign up for the beta testing via Gamedust’s official Discord channel upon which you will be part of the Komrade Test Program. To participate in the beta test, you need an Oculus Quest or Oculus Quest 2 headset.
Gamedust has been keen on roping in its player base and stated that it is open to community feedback and wants its community to take part in the development of its games.
Yupitergrad was released last year and its content has gone through a continual evolution, growing from a core campaign in which players navigate their way around a treacherous space station into a Time Attack Mode in which players have to navigate the levels as quickly as possible. Its most recent update was in August where Gamedust released 10 new levels for Time Attack.
Yupitergradis currently supported in all the major virtual reality headsets such as SteamVR, Oculus Quest as well as PlayStation VR.
